Pizzeria La Gondola in Schweinfurt

Good size pizza. The dough was also delicious. But an absolute no go. Canned mushrooms .. There were probably 200 mushrooms on our pizza .. Unfortunately we couldn't eat them.

Ordered for the first time and a letdown! I ordered two pizzas, there was a hair on one pizza the owner took it out and wanted to make me know that it is a root from the champion (are champions from the can, by the way!) I drove home I looked at the pizza again and it was a LONG one BLACK HAIR with baked in the dough, called and pointed it out and got a new pizza. Checked out the new one and a hair in the pizza again! Plus there are currently Corona measures and no one really. None of the employees had a mask on, not in the kitchen and not in the room. How about some hairnets in the kitchen?!?! I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone! From the picture you can see a piece of hair.

Ordered pizza through the delivery service. Delivery time approx. 30 minutes. Pizza warm and not soggy. Great taste. Price performance ratio great. Clear recommendation

I was born and raised right down the road from the La Gondola (Feldgasse). I'm 74 and can still remember the taste of the lovely Chianti and delicious pizza back in the 60's. Wish I could have it now. Greetings from USA - Missouri.

So far we've been getting the food here. Basically I can not say anything negative about the 5 stars. The staff is always friendly, no matter how busy the guest room is. The dishes we have fetched so far (especially pizzas) have always been very good.

Long-established restaurant. Unfortunately, the interior is a bit old-fashioned and too narrow, the time has stood still). Must now be measured with other very good pizzerias in Schweinfurt.

Went there today with a larger group to eat. Everything went very well, the service very friendly, the boss for fun. Overall, the food was delicious. The pasta dishes were excellent, the portions were very generous. The price / performance ratio fits. The decor is a bit old, but this does not bother, but belongs to the flair. I can only recommend the La Gondola.

We left Schweinfurt in 2001 and had dinner there when we went back in July 2019 and it's still the same quality and amazingly good food that we remembered from back in the day

Favorite Italian restaurant as a child when I grew up in Schweinfurt! For the last eleven years I have tasted the pesto pasta in my mouth and longed for the day I could have it again. It tasted amazing just like I remembered! Located in a wonderful part of town. The restaurant is lovely, warm, inviting, and cozy. If you are passing through Schweinfurt this is a must eat at place!

Every time very good food, whether Pizza Lasagne or Compinazione. Service very friendly. We often order pizza home, it's the only pizza where the food is still delivered warm to your home. I can only recommend.

I thought I'll have a better quality of food BUT the quality was below below the expectations

Very good restaurant with friendly service. You can sit well on the covered forecourt here. There is a wide selection of pizzas and other international dishes. Both the food and the food are very reasonably priced, delicious and are served quickly. Gladly again.

We used to eat here when we lived in Germany when I was a child. If this is the same location, I remember the delicious spaghetti but the real reward and excitement came at the end of dinner and they’d bring a paper machete donkey out with candy in it. My parents would let us have only one piece of candy and it was the most delicious candy in the world. I’d wait for that treat. But as an adult I still remember their spaghetti and how good it was.

Nice Italian restaurant with outdoor seating except winter-times.

While living in the area between 2005 to 2009 the quality and quantity of food continues to amazing when I visited them again 2016 and 2017. A MUST VISIT if you are in the area with an appetite. The taste surpassed most restaurants I went to in Italy. Their LOVE for quality food can be tasted in every bite!!!

I was stationed with HQ, HQ 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Div in 1969 and 1970. It was the best deep dish pizza i have ever had in my life. I still think about it today and wish i could experience that meal today. My favorite Guesthaus was just down the road, something like Ashawnhausic (sp) owned by Maggie and Eric. We were around 19 or 20 years old and they treated us like family.

I spent 3 years in Schweinfurt, Germany, from 1995-1998, and I have to say that this was one of the best restaurants there. I am no longer married to the military but would love to go back and visit Schweinfurt. La Gondola would be my first meal there and my last meal berore coming back home, and I'm sure several in between. The staff was great, the restaurant was beautiful, and the food was excellent. You haven't had real pizza until you've eaten a La Gondola pizza. The salads were the best, I had to order a half salad because it was so much food I couldn't eat it all, and the salad was the only thing I ate at those meals.You definitely won't regret eating here!
